Social History Volunteers

The Hylands House team are looking for Social History Volunteers to maintain and continue with the incredible research of the people that lived, worked and visited Hylands since 1730.

This will involve overseeing the wonderful historical exhibitions on the Open Estate Sundays that are already curated. These take place on the third Sunday of every month (except May).

It is a flexible arrangement but you would become part of the Hyland's team by being in the office one morning a week!

You would get 20% off at The Deli and free parking at Hylands Estate

Bookshop Volunteers

The Friends of Hylands House Bookshop is looking for volunteers to join our wonderful team.

The Bookshop first opened its doors in March 2008 and has become integral to The Stables and solely relies on donations. We have raised substantial funds that goes towards projects such as the Hanbury Memorial Garden, The Terrace Room and lots of other projects.

Volunteers get 20% off at The Deli whilst volunteering and free parking. You can also join our book borrowing scheme! You do have to be a member of the Friends of Hylands House.

Would you like to join us and help raise funds for the preservation and improvement of Hylands Estate?

Please get in contact by emailing [email protected]

The Friends of Hylands House committee has a vacant role available.

As a committee we are proud to raise funds for the preservation and improvement of Hylands Estate that will benefit generations of visitors. We also invest money towards activities that will encourage visitors of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy this special historic place.   Would you like to be part of the committee and help oversee the general management and direction of the Friends? We are need of a Membership Secretary. Due to recently moving online, it is a very simple role!

Edd, one of Hylands Assistant Manager's, kindly helped us get online and will show us the ropes!
