We are proud to raise funds for the preservation and improvement of Hylands Estate that will benefit generations of visitors. However we also invest money towards activities that will encourage visitors of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy this special historic place.
Over the years the Friends have contributed towards activities that have taken place on public open days. The Hylands Estate Open Days are thriving and have lots going on! From Urban Food Fest at the front of the house, social history exhibitions in the library and our even our own Friends who are volunteer history tour guides, there is something for everyone. To encourage families and children to learn and enjoy Hylands Estate we have invested in activities such as croquet, quoits and chess. Just like previous owners would have done.
